Beddings & Novi

Oh boy!  Bedding sure is complicated here.  We went shopping at Macy's yesterday and needed help getting what we need in order to make a warm bed!

This is the exact print that we bought.  It's a Ralph Lauren bedding collection and it was on a crazy sale price.  The set came with the comforter, bed skirts and a pair of king-size shams (also known as pillow cases).  Because the comforter has prints on it, it doesn't need a separate duvet cover.  We already have standard size pillows and didn't want so many pillows cluttering the bed so we'll probably set the shams aside and alter them later.  Euro shams are the squares ones while the normal shams are your regular rectangular pillow cases.  The fitted sheet and flat sheets had to be bought separately, and we also picked up a separate set of pillow cases to match the ivory sheets we bought.  AND, so that we'll be warmer, we bought a blanket that would go between the flat sheet and the comforter.

I'm so excited to use them when we move to our new place.  And then we'll shop for another set to change.  I might get one from Martha Stewart's collection because hers are soooo ppppreeeetttyyy!

This set was bought from Macy's at the Twelve Oaks Mall in Novi, Michigan, where we went for a day of shopping.  I was stuck in Macy's for a long long time...the suits section was fun!!  Calvin Klein, T Tahari, Ann Klein all at great prices - e.g. a skirt suit for $99!

After all the shopping, we tried to visit one of the better restaurants around but the wait for a table was two hours and at another restaurant, it was one hour.  We ended up eating at Athenian Coney Island...I don't even know how to begin to classify this place!  It says it's a greek restaurant but it serves coney dogs and chilli...Anyway, the chilli was very good and the rest of the stuff was ok...I don't know that we'll come back again but it was dinner before our almost two hour drive back home.

(still cannot turn the pciture around!!!)
