Well maybe not the first snow but the fluffy white stuff stuck around longer this weekend and has covered the land gently.

Want a taste of snow skin mooncakes in Singapore? Be prepared to shell out between SGD40 to SGD60 (about USD30+ to USD50+) per box of 8. Raffles Hotel , which has some of the nicest snow skin moocakes around, was among my favorites and theirs cost SGD64 per box of 8 this year. One fascinating thing about Singapore which I find endearing in an odd way is food fad. Something new, or in the case of soy bean curd, something updated, would appear on the market, tastes great, and for a period of time, would draw crowds of people obsessed with getting a taste - I included. Many long queues and a few 'copycats' or 'alternatives' later, the food may continue to draw a crowd, e.g. Koi bubble tea, or become part of the scene, e.g. apple strudel. I've been debating with myself for a few days whether or not to write about my eventful Tuesday at the University of Michigan. Afterall, I'm taking it easy resting at home. (I lie!
